Happy Love Month!

I know V Day was a long time ago, sometimes it takes me a while to post.

Here Cole is painting his Valentines Box for his preschool party. I'm sure you can guess what it will be. My favorite is Superman sitting their with him. Must be for moral support.

Didn't it turn out darling!!! That is a cape on the back of it.

Cole's little preschool class.

Pin the arrow on the heart.

Classic bean bag toss.

Delivering Valentines. How fun. I loved Valentines in school. It is so fun to go through your valentines.

At home on Vday, the kids woke up to a scavenger hunt. They each had their own little clues to find their Valentine.

The kids and I were downstairs watching a movie, and my wonderful husband struck again. He made a yarn maze for me. I came upstairs to yarn everywhere that led me to my valentine. I love stuff like that. He's so sweet. Once again, my cute husband had a surprise waiting for me. Another babysitter lined up (Thanks Ethan) and dinner and dancing. It was so fun. He has been taking me dancing alot lately. We have so much fun. We are learning lots of fun things. It's the best when he dances me around the house and we practice our new moves. Yes, we are dorky, but I'm perfectly fine with that (always have been :)

Ambra led us on a scavenger hunt to0. You should have seen her clues, they were so cute. "its in yur screpturs. (your scriptures).

THis is what we found. This cute little card she made for us in school.
Happy Valentines Day! I love this day because you get to show extra love to all those that mean so much to you. What a cute day. Happy Valentines Day to all of my family and friends reading this. You are all so wonderful and kind and generous with your time and talents. Thank you for meaning so much to us in our lives.

Ariah - ism's

This requires pictures...

Oh no, did a rat get into our cupboards...

Nope, just Ariah. Little turkey. 5 boxes of mac and cheese and this silly little grin is all she has to say for herself.

I woke up the other morning to a little voice calling, "MOM, STUCK, MOM, STUCK." I'll say she's stuck.

  • Ariah is very much a girl. She must pick out her clothing daily and it is always a dress or a skirt. When I go to the closet, she says "coot mom (cute mom)" when I pick out a pair of pants she stands up on her changing table and says "No, No No (while shaking her finger at me) - chus!" Meaning - that is not going to cut the cute priority, I'm going to have to choose. Then she tugs on her hair and makes me do it and picks out her bow for the day.

  • She has no qualms about telling us her opinion on her food tastes. If she doesn't like something, she will say "YUCK" spit out the food and scrunch up her face like that was the most disgusting thing in the world.
  • Everyday she is searching for my purse which contains gum. I have to put it somewhere new all the time. She is constantly saying "gum peas". Usually I find her with a pile of credit cards, lipstick, and gum wrappers scattered around an empty purse. I swear that girl has like a pound of gum inside her little tummy. We have got to stop the gum intake!!!
  • Also daily, I find her sitting in my bathroom sink with the toothpaste EVERYWHERE!!! I really do watch my child, this one just seems to be busier, more precarious and overall smarter. What am I going to do.
  • I was working on the computer the other day and Ariah was playing next to me. She left for a bit (I thought to the toy room) but no. She went to the kitchen, pulled a chair up to crawl into a top cupboard and found the powdered sugar. Next thing I knew, I had a little one with scissors a brand new bag of powdered sugar EVERYWHERE. All over the kitchen, her hair, her clothes, through the living room, down every stair, and through the family room, saying "lellows, lellows."

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE GET THIS CHICK SOME MARSHMELLOWS!!!

  • I despise markers. Ariah seems to find them often and likes to use her face as a canvas. She really enjoys to stick red markers up her nose and black ones all over her eyes, lips and cheeks. I know I should grab a camera at these moments, but come on, haven't I been through enough.
  • Oh, one more favorite past time of hers. She really enjoys to get the wipe box of 500 and pull out each one seperately. Wipes something down, wad it and toss it. Nothing like cleaning up and reusing 500 waded wipes.

Cole-ism's

So I really need to be better about writing down my children's darling things that they say. My friend Kamie has inspired me to be a better record keeper about that. Thanks Kam!!:)

Cole's meridian of time is when he turned from three to four. He is ALWAYS saying, "back when I was three..." "When I was three I..." THis probably comes out of his mouth over 25 times a day.

Cole LOVES to watch the living scripture movies. The other day when I asked him what movie he wanted to watch, he said "Not one of those kid movies... I need something reverent."

In the car the other day, Cole turns to me and says "Simon Peter, do you love me? Then feed my sheep." Turned to Ariah "Simon Peter do you love? Then feed my sheep." Turned to Ambra "Simon Peter do you love me? Then feed my sheep." He was quiet after that.
Glad something is sinking in.

As we're walking into Walmart there is a man smoking about two feet away from us. Cole points and screams "MOM LOOK!!! THAT MAN LISTENS TO SATAN!!!" Good thing Adam is 6"4 and weighs 2oo pounds!

Cole was spotlighted in primary today. I was supposed to ask him questions. One of the questions was what is your favorite temple "You know, the one you got married in... the big white one."

I said Yes...

Today, 9 years ago, my sweetheart proposed to me. Tonight he totally surprised me and reinacted that night for me. He caught me totally off guard. I was making cookies with the kids and preparing for a night home, when he asked me if I remembered what day it was. When I finally caught on to what he was talking about, he had me tell the story to the children. They giggled as he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him and gave me a long kiss (they're used to that kind of thing). Then he told me I had one hour to be ready. His brother was on his way up to watch the kids, and we were heading down to American Fork, so that I could be proposed to again in front of the Mt. Timpanogas Temple. I seriously thought he was kidding. He wasn't. It was so fun. We did it exactly the same. He started the evening at an Italian restaraunt in Salt Lake. This is a picture of us in front of the same fireplace we got a picture in front of 9 years ago.
Then he drove me to the temple and gave me a Happy Proposal Anniversary card.

He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him with my original ring box. Actually 9 years ago he said, "Ok, lets do this...Will you marry me?"

Yes and three kids later.

What a romantic guy. I love Adam so much. He is such a wonderful man. I couldn't have dreamed of a better husband. He is so kind and caring and romantic and so concerned about my welfare. I know he loves me because he tells me and shows me everyday. I know he would do anything I asked of him. I always feel beautiful because he is always telling me that I am. I truly feel that I am the luckiest woman. I knew our love was strong then, but 9 years, 3 children, and many trials later, I know it is stronger now. In the words of the card he gave me tonight..."you started out wonderful, and only got better from there."
