Staying busy with business...

So January is BORING!! Nothing to blog about. I feel like I have been doing so much business stuff lately. Our townhome is up for rent, so I have been showing that. (3 bed, 2 bath, 2 car garage, 1500 sqft, very nice, very clean, 995 month 550 deposit, sewer, garbage, water, lawn care included in rent, 1 year minimum lease, layton, close to freeway) If you know anyone, tell them to call us. I have had two bridal fairs this month, so between putting together flowers, and getting ready for these fairs, and marketing my business, and trying to design new postcards and business cards, I feel like thats all I have done lately.

I have a prom fest this weekend. I think it would be great to preserve the prom corsages. Is this dumb? I don't know if it will work but I have always wanted to give it a shot. So here I come. Do you think girls would do this? I would have, but I am like that.

My little porcelain doll!

Don't you just want to sqeeze her! This girl is quite the woman. She must choose her clothing and shoes every morning. I will pull something out and she says "No" as she pushes it aside and points to the closet and says "choose". Wow, shes not even two!She makes me paint her toenails, and do her hair (of course I would anyway, but she must have a bow in her hair - I have trained her well). Its so funny because Ambra at this age had to be bribed with candy to keep her bows in. I had to keep tootsie rolls in the car (If you keep it in until we get to the store - you'll get a tootsie roll. Good now, if you keep it in until we get back to the car, you'll get another tootsie roll.) Yes I resorted to these selfish tactics. I am a bow nazi and it must be in at all public times! Ariah I have no such troubles with. I swear she is a total girly girl and has a serious opinion. I know I am in for it.

Firestation Feild Trip

We took our little preschool group to the firestation last week. They were so excited!

Cole was so curious about every little nook and cranny and compartment on those big fire trucks. "What's this? What's in here? What's this for?"

THey got to go inside an ambulence and the firetruck. Pretty neat!

Happy New Year (14 days late!)

We decided to have a New Years shin dig at our house this year. I am sick of never having plans so darn it I made some!!! We invited a few familys over to our home and had food, played games and talked till midnight. All the kids came and played downstairs. At about 9:30 we popped in movies for them and hoped they would fall asleep. No such luck. A few tuckered out at about 11:30, and Ambra was the only (big kid) awake at midnight. She thought we were crazy with the bubbles, pots, pans, and screaming! It was fun. THanks to all those that came to our little party. Plan on it next year!

Christmas Day!!!

Santa left his bag at our house!!! Wow, this was huge. Ambra ran out in the living room and said "MOM!!! THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE! SANTA LEFT HIS BAG HERE! We must be VERY special and we must have been the last house!" Then Cole says, "No, I think it was becasue I was so, so, so, so, so, so, so, KIND!" Too cute. Yes, Santa left his bag at our house this year. It had lots of fun stuff inside and then it magically dispeared when we weren't paying attention. I guess he needed it back.

Santa brought Ariah a doll swing and some blocks.

Here is Cole's cute little Woody horse. He has a Woody costume too. Very cute.

Santa brought Ambra some scrapbook stuff, a coloring book and Little Pet Shoppe stuff. Cole got a spiderman transformer, a coloring book and the Operation game. Pretty exciting!

That evening we went to Alex and Jill's for Christmas with the Hacker side. Jill made a wonderful Mexican Christmas dinner and we had a lovely time.

We were so blessed this year. We had a wonderful Christmas with very generous family members and friends and neighbors. Thank you to everyone for making our Christmas a wonderul one.

Christmas Eve Festivities

Here are the Santa goodies. We've even got cauliflower on there for the reindeer.

We had a little Christmas pagent. Miss Ariah is the sheep.

Starring Ambra Hacker as Mary, Grandpa as Joseph, and Uncle Josh as the famous donkey. Gotta love it.

Mr. Colie was the angel we have heard on high. I was a shepard, and my mom was a wiseman. Grandma got to be a wiseman, and Adam was narrator. This was so fun.

We played a present game. You know, the one where the present is wrapped like a million times in a million boxes with duck tape and all.... well we played it with oven mitts too. This was so funny. My bro Josh won the prize (hence the Rocky dance above.)

We did the funnest thing that we are definitley making a tradition. It is called the yarn game. We each drew names and bought eachother a present. Then we took that persons stocking a tied a ball of yarn to it. Then we took that ball of yarn and went all over the house, up and down stairs, under beds, in closets, bathrooms...everywhere. Everyone is doing this so your house becomes this huge web of yarn. It is totaly crazy (you need to be limber to do this) . At the end of your ball of yarn you hide the present. THat person then starts at thier stocking and rewraps the yarn to the end where they find their present. It was SOOO FUNN!!! And totally hilarious. The kids loved it. We took the kids over to see Santa on Christmas Eve morning. Ariah wouldn't have anything to do with him, and they wouldn't let me take a picture with my camera. Here is an illegal not so great one.
