This is back at our house at our BBQ. The kids were so funny. They wanted to put on their own little parade. They tied their bikes together with jump ropes and threw pretzels to the crowd (instead of candy). They sang and clapped and played drums. We had quite the entertainment.
Well I have officially reached dorkdom! Actually I probably reached it a long time ago. We wore matching shirts for the fourth of July and guess what!! I loved it! We had so much fun making them and the kids thought they were the coolest things ever. It really was fun. We started the day at the Layton parade. I love parades! We went with our good friends the Loosli's and the Hadley's. Glenda, Adam's mom came was up for the holiday too. We had a wonderful day! After the parade we went over to the carnival in the park and then back to our house for a BBQ. That night we of course did the fireworks. The kids liked the ones we did in our yard better than the big ones the city puts on. I thought that was weird. They were kind of getting bored. I bet it was because we weren't right under them. We have a pretty good view from our house and so we watched them on our lawn. It is always more exciting when you are right in the action. Anyway, it was such a fun day and it was wonderful to have Adam home.
Adam's mom brought Ariah this cute little dress. Perfect for the fourth.

Oh Boy. Matching t-shirts? Dorkdom INDEED!!!:) For some reason though, the matching t-shirts fit you. Maybe it's because you were always so crafty... I DO remember that wood scrapbook cover!

I know, the trip to Utah for the holiday was last minute so it wasn't really planned out. We definitely need to get together next month when I'm in town. When is your get together in August? (I'll be there the 11th-22nd)
I love it! Matching shirts! I can actually say that the bulk of my friends are geeks. Geeks are good people too! Your 4th looked like it was a total blast! I love the new Family pic at the top, such a cute family you've got there!

I love the summer because there are parades to go to and other fun outside activities.
Please, we are all such nerds at heart! I shouldn't even have to say that since Larsen already pointed out the fact that we dressed up as the Spice Girls (and coreographed a dance)!!! I love the 4th and that's awesome that Adam was able to be there. We hope to see you guys on the 24th!

So I just read back some posts to see that your hubby works out of state - that is horrible! Is he always here in AZ? How fun that you came here and went to some of our favorite spots (the zoo and train park). Are you coming back soon???
