Our California Vacation: Day One

We traveled to St. George on Friday May, 2. Iwas so worried about Miss Ariah - she starts squealing like a pig after 10 minutes, but she did pretty well. The kids are always perfect little angels as long as they are watching a movie.

We got to St. George in the afternoon and got to play around. Adam taught the kids how to steer the wagon down a hill. They thought this was pretty cool. Grandma's house is always fun, there are always new surprises.

I am so excited!!! Adam is going to be home for almost 2 weeks. We are getting ready to head on a Disney trip with the kids and we are making a long vacation out of it. I sure need it. He comes home Wednesday (hopefully) and we leave Friday. I cannot wait to have a hubby around for awhile.

The Little Mommy!

Ambra thinks it is her job to make sure Ariah is busy at all times doing the things Ambra deems appropriate. When the kids are outside, Ambra carts Ariah around from activity to activity. One of her favorite things to do is have Ariah in the motorized Escalade (complete with sweet rims by the way) and drive her all around the yard. They of course stop at the store, the pool, the gym, the post office etc. Sometimes Ambra is quite forceful about what she thinks Ariah ought to be doing and you can hear Ariah squealing in objection. Can I tell you how much I love weather that allows my children to spend their energy OUTSIDE!!!!

Cole - ism's

So I am going to copy my cute friend Kamie and post all the cute things my kids say.

Yesterday we were going out to eat with my mom and Cole had a definite opinion about that. We were thinking Olive Garden but he said, "Mom, we can go to Cafe Rio or stay home. Which one?" I told him we would discuss the matter in the car (on the way to Olive Garden). As we were driving, he said, "Mom I would like to talk about my options. Cafe Rio, or go home." We ate at Cafe Rio.

On the way to bed the other night, I told the kids we were going to have a race to get our jammies and teeth brushed. The first one to be done got a gold star. "On your mark, get set, go!" Ambra took off running and Cole just stood and looked at me, " I want to race Ariah."

Backyard Fun!

Soccer

Ambra loves soccer. We haven't won any games or scored any goals the last two games, but were just getting back in the swing of things right? Our team for some reason isn't quite sure what defense means. It's ok, their only 5. Ambra does a really good job though. She is the fastest runner on her team and kicks the ball way out of range for everyone and then uses her running skills to go out and get the ball and get it to her goal. We have been super close on a goal several times, but it hit the side of the goal instead of going in - darn. She's so cute when she plays, whenever she does some great defense move or gets control of the ball, she always looks back at us when she's done with this huge victory smile on her face - that says "Did you see that? I rock don't I?" We have enjoyed watching her play soccer this season.

Sorry I have been a bum.

I haven't posted forever and will soon. I can only do it occasionally with being a single mother these days. We have done lots of fun things though. Hopefully I can sit down and blog soon. Sorry friends and family.
